The all-day programme for TrailFest 2016 was an action-packed affair:

8.30: Registration for all ticket holders


9.00-12.30: TrailFIT practical training sessions

9.00: choose one of the two sessions below: 

Run Loose: Yoga for runners with Mark Russell (45 minute session)

Run with Debbie Martin-Consani (45 minute social run, 9 min/mile pace approx but don’t worry: it’s not a race; we won’t leave anyone behind!)

Run Strong: Strength & Conditioning with Casey Morgan (45 minute session)

Run Smart: Navigation for Runners with Gary Tompsett (90 minute session)

Run Faster: Speed Training with James Stewart (45 minute session)

Take five and chill out in front of the big screen to enjoy three short films by Dave MacLeodBen Nevis – Wild Times, A Fine Line (both in conjunction with the Nevis Landscape Partnership) and Miles Away will be screened throughout the morning.


13.00: TrailRUN: Hoka ONE ONE Mugdock Mile 

A fast, wild sprint to the line


13.30: Lunch break

Bring your own lunch or buy food and drinks at one of the two courtyard cafes.

Change into warm/dry clothes ready for the afternoon speaker programme

15.30: Run Swim: Robert Hamilton, Scotland’s leading authority on open water swimming, shares advice on transitions and swim-run for runners.

16.45: Run Fast: James Stewart, #TeamPyllon ultrarunner – ‘Dreams don’t have a hard stop’
